"What is a wiki?" you ask? Click the link!
The User's Guide (http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User%27s_Guide) contains all kinds of stuff about mediawiki. The most useful sections are the readers and editors chapters, especially the Editing Overview (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing) (contains a summary of basic wiki markup). Or you can click on the edit tab on any page and peek at the markup, if you prefer to learn by example. It really is easy.
The most important thing to remember is that no change is permanent. If you make a mistake, you can fix it. If you really mess up, I can undo it using the source control. Every single change a user makes to the site is logged and saved so we can go to an older version of any page. Experiment!
The first thing you should do is create a user account for yourself. Only registered users can edit content — that way, we know who changed what.
Every page has its own separate discussion tab. Feel free to add comments and ideas there! If you do, don't forget to sign it by adding ~~~~ (4 tildes) on a line by itself. Wiki will replace those four tildes with your username and the current date and time.
If you have general questions about wiki or the site, you can ask them on this page's discussion tab and I'll answer them underneath.
