Half-Orcs are a rare breed in the Towerlands. Most are borne of violence and rape and the human mother is left to find a way to raise the half-breed in normal society. Many half-orc children are abandoned over time and the orphans grow up without a sense of connection to the rest of society though some struggle to fit in. Generally no one trusts a half-orc because they have a bad reputation for violence, temper, and lawlessness.

Although few know it half-orcs are very loyal to their friends, if any. After years of random abuse they seem to treasure anyone who treats them decently. Of course they often express this affection by beating up those that give their friends a hard time.

Those half-orcs that survive in orcish society tend to become advisers to tribal leaders. The cunning, ruthlessness and skill needed to survive as a despised minority in orcish society are exactly what a leader needs on his side and naturally a "mule" could never be chief.

There are no elven-orcish halfbreeds. The product of a half-elf and an orc is a half-orc with no special elven abilities. The product of a half-orc and a human is a human with noticable half-orc tendencies but no infrasvision etc.
