This ancient chain of mountains is worn smooth and covered with trees. The Damalzens are divided into two parts, north and south, separated by Iolis Bay in the heart of the Towerlands. Really, the two parts are so far apart that they can barely be considered the same range, though a series of low ridges between them proves the connection. The northern half is called Amdamal and the southern half is called Verdamal.

The Verdamals are a source of limestone and marble, coal, precious woods, many semiprecious gems, and furs. The range is mostly tamed and peppered with small outposts and villages.

The Amdamals provide limestone and marble, coal, platinum in small quantities, copper, and passable iron ore. The range is less tame than the Verdamals since it is so close to the northern extent of the Towerlands and the Starkav Peaks. Goblin and kobold attacks are common. Occasional giant raids are a bigger problem.
